thanks for all of the birthday wishes yesterday! i LOVE the dress that darcy, jamie, liz and john got me and the bracelet that lindsay and paul picked out for me is perfect! here are some pictures from this week. i'm so tired from moving out of my apartment but we finally finished this afternoon so i am glad that it is over! i go back to work tomorrow but while i really need to earn some money, working is about the last thing i want to do at the moment. hopefully training on the bar will help spice things up a little!

Timberwood Music Festival

On Wednesday night, Dad and I were able to sit out under the stars on the Timberwood Grill Patio and hear beautiful singing by none other than Abby Cook, who by the way is 21 years old TODAY!! Wish all of you could have been there....maybe she will post a few photos......

Forever

Hey everyone, I know I haven't posted in forever. I'm trying not to do too much of this stuff while I'm at work, which is unfortunate because it's the only place I have a computer. But I did want to follow in Lindsay's shoes and post my summer reading. It's not very original (especially since this is at least the second time I've read each of the books), but I'm working my way through Harry Potter again. The final book comes out in 22 days and I have Book Six to start and finish by then. I just finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoneix. . .




If you haven't read them yet, I highly recommend them. The fifth movie comes out soon, also. Of course, movies are never as good as the books, but it'll be interesting to see none the less.

Once I'm done with this series, I hope to read The Dogs Who Found Me. Does anyone else have any recommendations?

Queen

This little gal might become ours tomorrow. We'll let you know if we go through with it. We met her tonight and have a few more questions before we go through with it. Here's the info we got about her:

Queen came from a breeder who voluntarily shut down and asked the State of Kansas to place her animals. Queen was not raised as a pet so she is in need of socialization and training. She is friendly and with some patience, she will be a wonderful pet. She is not housebroken.

John and I saw this movie tonight and loved it! We highly recommend tracking it down in your area (probably at an indie theater, though).

this is alex. he is great. i am, however, learning how difficult relationships are when you haven't been in one (or at least a healthy one) in a long time. but i'm trying my hardest to make this one work so we'll see! hopefully you all can meet him the next time you're in charlottesville!

Pete is so glad we're home!

I think as a group we have about two thousand pictures -- hopefully they'll be uploaded to the Snapfish site soon and everyone can spend a leisurely afternoon looking at all of them. :)

Oh, Abby -- the cute waiter from Zola's with the pony tail that you were watching the whole time -- he's a photographer and backpacker apparantly. He rode the bus with us from State College to Harrisburg. Apparantly he was off on some solo picture-taking adventure of his own. Thought you'd be interested to know. :)
