thank you for reminding me, elizabeth. i do miss her.
i remember in the last years she would say to something "oh my goodness" and then say "no it's not my goodness, it's the Lord's goodness". so maybe that is what we can remember today - the Lord's goodness...the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end...they are new every morning...great is thy faithfulness....

One of my favorite memories of Bumma in her later years was visiting her at the nursing home in Fairfax (I think it was that one). They had a group in to lead the residents in singing hymns and Bumma was on the front row singing her heart out. She was even doing a little conducting now and then.
