meet our new dog! we got him monday from a breeder north of omaha. we are still undecided on a name but he's a very happy pup. we got him a kennel last night and he loves it. potty training has been going better since then. he loves being outside, playing with his chew toys, and snuggling. he absolutely hates the leash....any advice on that? he's a 4 month old boston terrier.

ahh i love him!! lola had trouble with the leash when she was a puppy too. elizabeth gave me good advice when i was having trouble with that which was to reward the little things too (she was much more eloquent than that though!) so i just started giving her treats/praise everytime she went on the leash without fighting me on it and it seemed to help. now she loves it and sits patiently for me to put it on her so i think just making him feel like it's a positive thing (means to going outside, etc) might help. good luck with the potty training! lola is still working on pooping in the house :(
I hope you are bringing him to Thanksgiving! He is just the cutest thing ever. He looks a lot like Ben and Jenelle's boston terrier named Mic. Keep us posted on the naming.
Oh my goodness. He is adorable!!! Congratulations on becoming parents. I've been thinking of cute and funny names. The following is just a sampling: Willie, Octavian, Butch, Ira, Sylvester, Dwight, Louie, Bubba, Tex, Zeus .... the list could obviously go on and on. Whatever you decide to call him, I can't wait to meet him. :)
One more thing, John and I ascribe to the ideas for feeding dogs in the book "Give Your Dog A Bone." It's not the most eloquently written book, but a great philosophy for the lifelong health of your dog.
