I'm back!

Hi everyone.
I'm back after not posting for a very long time. I thought I'd post some photos from our trip to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, the true grand canyon of our beautiful country, but I'm having problems getting that function to work. So it's just me.

At work, I've been SUPER busy since we're basically two people short on my team alone, and it's just been really hectic lately (which is unfortunate, in this line of work). But I'm loving my work and finding it incredibly challenging and fulfilling. I'll be adding a new role to my job description in August as I pick up the reins of co-facilitating the weekly domestic violence support group. It's the first time I've ever led a group in this way and should be an interesting learning experience.

Darcy, Jamie, and John have been hard at work on the basement renovation with me pitching in a little here and there. It's really coming along, thanks to Darcy's contracting work, and it's very exciting to see. Mom and Dad, we're looking forward to both of you coming up soon. Abby, I don't know if you're planning on coming but it would be great to see you and Patrick, too!

Pete has been hard at work hunting chipmunks and any other rodent-like creatures that wander into the backyard. He's caught one chipmunk already and thankfully hasn't been able to get any more. Of course I'm the one who found that chipmunk when I almost stepped on it while weeding! >:P So gross.

Well that's it for now. I'd love to talk to all of you soon, especially on the weekend. I have very little desire to talk on the phone during the week since I do crisis counseling on the phone a lot of the day, but once the weekend comes, I'm much more relaxed and able to talk.

Love you all,
Elizabeth
